PRITLIKAVA KOZICA

Tudi za tole našo štirinožnico je kriva Katja s svojimi nenavadnimi željami. Seveda pa sva spet kriva tudi midva z Dušanom, saj sva Katjino željo uslišala in ji za rojstni dan podarila precej nenavadno hišno ljubljenko. Pritlikavo kozico.
Also for this our four-legged animal is responsible Katja with her unusual ideas. On the other hand it is also mine and Dusan's fault, since we fulfilled her wish and brought her at the occasion of the birthday a very unusual beast - a pigmy goat.

Po začetnih težavah, ko je kozica neumorno klicala svoje starše, je Katjo sprejela za svojo vodjo tropa. Ker pa to ni navadna koza in Katja ni navaden otrok, sta kmalu ugotovili, da se lahko marsičesa naučita. Tako sta se naučili premagovati ovire, podobne tistim na agilityju. Slalom tudi, da ne bo pomote!
After initial difficulties, when the goat did not stop calling her mother, she eventually accepted Katja as a herd leader. But since this animal is not an ordinary goat and Katja not an ordinary child they soon found out what she can learn. They mastered without any help a hurdle race, with hurdles similar to the ones used in agility race - including slalom.

Kozica gre tako z nami na vikend,
The goat follows us to the weekend cottage,

lahko gre na potep, privezana na povodec ali pa brez.
or goes with us for a walk, like dogs on a flexy leash or without it.

21.02.2004 Pred nekaj tedni je Katja sklenila, da tudi pri kozi preizkusi magičnost klikerja. Takoj se je opazilo, da je Spotty postala izredno pozorna na Katjo. Vendar pa s svojim vedenjem ni pokazala, ali je res povezala klik kot nagrado ali pa je bila že sama hrana zadosti. Na internetu sem prišla do strani, ki opisuje učenje konjev s klikerjem in njihove začetne težave, podobne našim. H klikerju so dodali še targeting in zadeva jim je stekla. S Katjo sva takoj poskusili. In res! Spotty je takoj odreagirala na klik in se pričela dotikati tarče. Tako je bil dotik žogice narejen že takoj prvi dan. V prihodnjih dneh je prišel na vrsto še slalom med nogami, plesanje... Zdaj lahko Katja s klikanjem pove Spotty, kaj želi in česa ne.

But Spotty didn't show with her behaviour if she really connected click as reward or it was just a reaction to the food . Couple of days ago I found a page on Internet, which describes how to teach horses with clicker which was not easy as well. Then they added targeting to the clicker and it worked. Spotty reacted on click immediately and started to touch the target. And so the touch to the little ball was achieved already during the first day. In the next few days followed slalom race between legs, dancing on two legs... Now Katja can by clicking tell Spotty what she wants and what she doesn't.
