Tale naša modra navihanka je zadnja prišla v našo družino. Z njo bom nadaljevala šolanje na področju reševanja, saj moja bernka zaradi bolezni tega ne zmore več. Po dolgotrajnem iskanju pravega vzreditelja, hudem razočaranju, ker je bila že izbrana psička gluha, ponovnem iskanju vzreditelja, ponovnem čakanju v vrsti na nova legla, je skoraj z neba padla Blum. No, ne ravno padla. Šli smo ponjo prav na sever Nemčije. Njeno uradno ime je Flying Fortress' Bibi Blocksberg. Partizansko ime, Blumchen :-) Mi pa jo kličemo kar Blum.
This blue wise dog is the last one to join our family. I want to train her as a rescue dog to fill in the gap of our Bernie who is unable to work in the rescue team any more due to lyme disease. After a long search and disappointment when a selected and desired doggie has been found deaf, and after standing again in line for another litter, Blum suddenly appeared as a choice. We had to make a long drive to Northern Germany to fetch her. Her official name is "Flying Fortress' Bibi Blocksberg" with the nickname Blumchen :-). We shortened her name to Blum.

Tale naša modra navihanka je zadnja prišla v našo družino. Z njo bom nadaljevala šolanje na področju reševanja, saj moja bernka zaradi bolezni tega ne zmore več. Po 15-urni vožnji domov nas je, na začetku le nemško govoreče bitje, kmalu sprejelo za svoje. Najprej se je morala naučiti slovensko. Zanimivo, kako vesela je bila, ko je kdo izrekel kakšno nemško besedo. Ker pa je Blum avstralska ovčarka, je morala to pokazati že prav prvi dan. Držala se je pravila, da je vsak dan pogruntala kaj novega. Seveda, večino neumnosti. Tako je en dan visela z glavo v straniščni školjki, drug dan je poskrbela za čiščenje odtoka bideja, nato je ugotovila, da ima Dušanov nov polnilec za telefon predolgo žico... Prav vsak dan nam je in nam še popestri s svojimi norčijami. Ker pa dobro poznam odlično poznavalko pasme, smo bili na njene vragolije dobro pripravljeni.

She showed also from the first day on, that she is Aussie, and discovered every day something new - mainly follies off course. One day she got interested in a lavatory bowl, another day tried to unblock the bidet drain, then she found out that Dusan's power supply for his hand phone has a cord which is to long... Yes, she enriches our every day lives with her ideas. It helped us a lot that we learned from a friend, expert on Aussies, how to cope with her pranks.

Tako je en dan visela z glavo v straniščni školjki, drug dan je poskrbela za čiščenje odtoka bideja, nato je ugotovila, da ima Dušanov nov polnilec za telefon predolgo žico... Prav vsak dan nam je in nam še popestri s svojimi norčijami. Ker pa dobro poznam odlično poznavalko pasme, smo bili na njene vragolije dobro pripravljeni.

Mihela, neskončno hvala, ker si me seznanila s to čisto posebno pasmo psov. Sedaj sem okužena z nekim posebnim aussie virusom. Zelo nalezljiv, pazite!!! :-) Od vsega začetka jo učim s pomočjo klikerja. Čudovito, kako se odziva nanj. Udeležili sva se že predstavitev učenja s klikerjem, kjer Blum prav zablesti. Kot bi hotela reči slušateljem: "Poglejte, to resnično deluje, imam se super, lastnica poskakuje od veselja, jaz pa dobim še odlične priboljške." Kaj bi lahko bilo še lepše?
Mihela, I am really thankful to you that you introduced to me this very special breed of dogs. I am now infected by a special Aussie-virus. Beware, it is very contagious!!! :-) From the beginning on, I train her with the aid of a clicker. It is marvellous how she reacts to its sound. We presented this already to other people, and Blum performed splendidly. As she wanted to say, "Look how it works, I enjoy it, my leader is jumping from delight and I get dog-biscuits". What could be more marvellous?

Od vsega začetka jo učim s pomočjo klikerja. Čudovito, kako se odziva nanj. Udeležili sva se že predstavitev učenja s klikerjem, kjer Blum prav zablesti. Kot bi hotela reči slušateljem: "Poglejte, to resnično deluje, imam se super, lastnica poskakuje od veselja, jaz pa dobim še odlične priboljške." Kaj bi lahko bilo še lepše?

Doma ji je v največje veselje viseti za vratom Gei ali pa preganjati kozico. Odlična zabava se ji zdi gledanje TV skupaj z ostalimi člani družine, še posebno če je na programu kakšna oddaja o živalih. Kriminalke so pa zelo razburljive, saj jo takrat nujno potrebujejo. Treba je zaščititi uboge ljudi! Toliko kriminala je na tem svetu. Tudi jutranjega opravka - zbujanja Katje - prav nikoli ne zamudi. Ko je pa tako lepo skočiti na posteljo k svoji prijateljici in ji prilepiti "enga lubčka na učka".
At home it is a great pleasure to hang around Gea's neck or to fight with a goat. She is also fond of watching the TV, especially if they are broadcasting animal stories. Also crime stories are interesting since the poor people certainly need her help. She has to protect them and there is so much crime in the world ... In the morning she never misses wakening up Katja. It is such a pleasure to jump on the bed and to kiss her drowsy friend.

Doma ji je v največje veselje viseti za vratom Gei ali pa preganjati kozico. Ja, vrata zna odpirati!!! Pa prav nič nam ni pomagalo, da smo kljuke obrnili v navpični položaj. To je bila ovira le za en dan. Treningov reševanja se udeležujeva od začetka. Do zdaj je bilo njeno delo bolj podobno igranju, počasi pa pričenjava s pravim učenjem. In zelo rada se uči. To je tisto, ta glavno!

Ja, takšna je naša navihanka! Vsak dan nekaj novega. Prav zaradi tega jo imam vedno bolj rada. Moje srce je osvojila z neskončno energijo in veseljem do dela! Ko pa zvečer zleze v moje naročje kot majhna mucka in z mano pogleda TV, je moja sreča popolna.
Yes, such a cunning dog is our Blum! Every day she comes up with something new. And this is what makes my affection for her deeper every day. She conquered my heart with her immense energy and activity. And she makes me absolutely happy in the evenings when she creeps to my arms like a small kitty and we watch TV together.
